We are into the 7th game of the Indian Premier League 2023, and Delhi Capitals face a tough challenge as they take on the defending champions Gujarat Titans at home. The hosts come here with a 50-run loss against the Lucknow Super Giants in their opening game. The Titans lived up to their reputation and defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in the season's first game.
The Titans come here with a convincing win, and their batting lineup looks in good shape, especially at the top. The two sides had played once in the past when the Gujarat Titans defeated the Delhi Capitals comfortably. The Delhi Capitals failed to strike the right combination in their playing XI in the last game, and it will be interesting to see if they can turn it around in this game.
David Warner's side started the tournament with a 50-run loss against the Lucknow Super Giants. It was a surprising team selection for the team where they sacrificed depth in their batting and paid the price. They need to get the balance right for this game, and we expect to see some changes. Warner would expect a better performance from his players as they take on the defending champions.
David Warner played well in the last game, and he will look for a solid start in this game along with Prithvi Shaw. The middle order has to do well after their collapse in the last game, and the side will expect runs from Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, and Phillip Salt. Lalit Yadav, Sarfaraz Khan, and Axar Patel strengthen the batting line in the lower middle order.
The bowling attack must do better than they did in the last game. The side will need good spells from Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed with the new ball, as their opponents have a strong batting line-up. Chetan Sakariya must get his lines right after the poor spell in the last game. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel must use the conditions and trouble their opponents.

Hardik Pandya's side started the tournament positively, winning their first game against the Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets. The side has suffered a huge blow, with star batsman Kane Williamson ruled out due to an injury. They have solid bench strength, and the side will look for a good performance here.
Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill are in form, adding to the side's confidence. They will need a good start from the opening pair. Pandya, Vijay Shankar, and Matthew Wade are good players in the middle order and make it strong. Sai Sudarshan can be used as an Impact Player. Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan add firepower to this line-up down the order.
Mohammad Shami and Pandya will look for early breakthroughs as the Capitals have some issues with the form of their top order. Rashid Khan will be confident after his good spell in the last game. Joshua Little, Yash Dayal, and Alzarri Joseph have a lot of experience under the belt and complete a strong attack for the team.

There will be clear skies over Delhi on April 04. We expect the conditions to be hot. The track would be a good one to bat on, where batsmen can play their strokes easily. Setting a target here is a bit of a challenge, and the side batting first would like to have more than 180 runs on the board.
Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, is one of the best venues for T20 cricket in India, and we have seen high-scoring games here in the past. Fast bowlers have to bring out their variations to do well here and the spinners enjoy good support from the wicket. Batsmen can play here without fear as the ball comes onto the bat nicely.
The side chasing the score in the last four IPL games at this venue has won three. We have seen big scores, and the excellent wicket makes it a good surface to chase. The side that wins the toss in this game would opt to bowl first and try and dismiss the opponent for a small total.
Delhi Capitals would be worried about their scale of loss in the last game. Their batsmen looked rusty and need to perform better in this game. The bowling attack also had its shortcomings which need to be addressed. The Gujarat Titans will come here with confidence, having ticked most of the boxes in the last game. It makes them favorites in this game.
