After an impressive last season, the Derbyshire Falcons will look to make this season a big one. They were second in their group and on an impressive run till they had to end their season prematurely after losing in the quarter finals. They are back and with some interesting talents and players, they will want to go further than last season.

Derbyshire is not the strongest squad in the competition, but they have some really good players with high potential. Leus Du Plooy is one such name who everybody will have their eyes on. Their batting will be extremely dependent on him due to his high scoring. Haider Ali is also a fantastic batsmen who is an upcoming star and will also have a huge impact on the competition.

Their bowling however is their weakest suit in comparison to their batting. Suranga Lakmal will have to lead this bowling line up with his experience and his wicket taking ability. He along with Zak Chappell will be the mainstays of the bowling department and will look to do well in order to propel the team.
