R Ashwin’s team suffered their first defeat of the season after winning three matches in a row. The top-order of Dragons has been struggling for quite some time and the last time, this struggle cost them the game.

In their win over Madurai Panthers, where Dindigul Dragons successfully chased down 124 runs, they lost 3 wickets in the powerplay. In the next game, they were 5 down for 63 runs in the 10th Over. Adithya Ganesh, C Sarath Kumar, and Suboth Bhati in the lower order led the comeback taking the score to 170 runs.

In their recent match where the Dragons suffered their first loss of the season, the opening batsman Shivam Singh scored 61 off 42 balls. But once again, Dragons had lost half of their team for just 51 runs.
