After being put into bat first, Perth Scorchers went about their usual business. In what was a bathing paradise, they smashed the Renegades and ended up with a total of 212 runs, losing just 5 wickets. Opener Cameron Bancroft was exceptional as he missed out on a well-deserved century by 5 runs, scoring 95 off 50 runs.

With a score of 213 to defend, the bowling department were put under pressure by the opposition as they were short by just 10 runs at the end. It was a good bowling performance given the circumstance, but they will want to improve further.  Ashton Turner picked up 2 wickets for 25, while Jason Behrendorff & David Payne bowled economic spells.
