Kaushik Gandhi comes into the team and will look to lead from the front. He will be up against his former franchise in the first game, and Gandhi would like to prove a point. It will be a tough battle against the Super Gillies, and key players have to perform well for the side to win this game.  

In this game, they will look for a good start from the new opening pair of Kaushik Gandhi and S Abishiek. In the middle order, R Kavin must anchor the innings and add runs with S Advind and Muhammed Adnan Khan. They will expect quick runs from Maan Bafna and Akash Sumra in the lower middle order.  

Their bowling attack had performed poorly last season, and the side will need early wickets from M Ganesh Moorthi and Ravi Karthikeyan. N Selva Kumaran has grown in stature and needs to do well in the middle overs. They will also look for a good show from RS Mokit Hariharan and Akash Sumra.

N Jagadeesan’s side is one of the strongest sides in the tournament. They finished joint winners last year, and N Jagadeesan would like his side to start from where they had left. They have a strong batting line-up, and the Super Gillies skipper would look to use it to his advantage.  

N Jagadeesan and S Santosh Shiv are a formidable opening pair, and they would like to put the side in a comfortable position. They expect runs from Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Uthirasamy Sasidev, and Rajagopal Sathish in the middle order. Baba Aparajith brings in a lot of experience and will look to add quick runs down the order with Sanjay Yadav and Harish Kumar.   

They shall expect good spells with the new ball from Rahil Shah and Ramalingam Rohit to put the Spartans on the backfoot.
