They were completely blown out of the game, by a mighty impressive Cheapuk Super Gillies, but they would have wanted to give them a much stronger fight. However, they will want to put the last match behind them and start fresh in the next game.

After losing the toss and put on to the field, Salem Spartans were completely taken to the cleaners. Conceding 217 runs whilst picking up just 5 bowlers demoralized the entire squad, especially because it was the first game of the season. Sunny Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2 wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing such a huge score, the batsmen had to go all guns blazing. But the downside of that approach also means you can lose too many wickets too quickly…. Which is exactly what happened. Salem Spartans kept losing wickets at regular intervals, which meant they had no momentum going into the chase. Muhammed Adnan Khan scored 47 off 15 balls, which came too late in the chase.
