Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated from the race to playoffs. They will now face RCB in their last home game of the season. Sunrisers were impressive with the ball in their last encounter against GT. However, they failed big time when it came to chasing down a gettable total.

The visitors, on the other hand, stand in stark contrast in terms of their recent performance. RCB will carry the momentum from their record win over RR. The bowling that’s been expensive for most of the season, finally came good for RCB in a must-win match.

Parnell, Bracewell, and Karn Sharma were all impressive. Bracewell is a handy all-rounder and RCB would likely play him against SRH too. Though there are the likes of Lomror and Anuj Rawat in the RCB lineup who can play the big shots, they are mostly dependent on the big 3.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a forgettable season this year with 4 wins from 12 matches so far. There is enough talent in this side to get them to top position in the points table. 

In addition to the overseas players like Markram, Brook, Klaasen, and Glenn Phillips, Sunrisers also have some uncapped talent like Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad.

There were some promising performances from Abhishek Sharma at the top. However, it looks like the SRH management are still following their old template of backing the overseas talent to win them matches. There is no dearth of quality bowling in the squad either.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Mayank Markande, and the left-arm medium pacer from Afghanistan Fazzalaq Farooqi all make for a strong bowling unit. It is true these bowlers aren’t very fast.

Umran Malik has been sidelined this year and understandably so. SRH need reliable pacers who can deliver tight overs at the death, consistent yorkers, and bowl the right length. At this point, SRH are all over the place, no consistency in any department, and the recent loss must have hampered their confidence.

It is going to be an uphill battle against the visitors but we aren’t counting them out completely. They can throw a surprise given their squad strength along with RCB’s middle order weaknesses.

The title hopes are still alive for RCB as they defeated RR by a huge margin. Not only did they add 2 important points to their tally, but also improved their NRR significantly.

RCB can get a maximum of 16 points and it will all come down to NRR at the end. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis should be more attacking in the powerplay to take RCB to a much bigger total. It was a great bowling effort from RCB that won them the last match against RR.

Though it was a pretty decent total and not easy to chase in Jaipur, the batting effort wasn’t top notch from RCB. If it wasn’t for the finish by Anuj Rawat, RCB wouldn’t have the momentum going into the second half of the match. Maxwell is a crucial figure in the middle order and a lot hinges on his shoulders right now.

Kohli doesn’t look in great touch but fans would definitely expect him to bounce back. The former skipper and Faf play out most of the overs and once they’re back in the hut, RCB’s chances of a good finish look bleak.

Maxwell plays his role perfectly in the middle but isn’t a finisher in this side. DK has failed to fit in that role and deliver good finishes. The batting concerns can put RCB in a difficult situation against a good bowling attack of SRH.
