What looks quite an intimidating team, Surrey have surely started the exact same way. They look like the early title contenders and if they keep up with the performance they showed in the last game, they will actually be in the title contention.

Opting to bat first, the openers got off to an electrifying start. Sunil Narine raced to 43 oof 22 balls, giving us flashbacks of the magnificent batting season he had in the IPL a few seasons back. But the cherry on the top were the Curran brothers, who took the game away from the opposition, bringing the score to 199. Sam Curran scored 68 off 47 balls, whilst Tom Curran scored 50 off 33 balls.

With such a massive target to defend, and one of the best bowling line ups in the competition they made easy work of the target. Bowling out the opposition for 126 in under 15 hoovers was testimony of how strong their bowling line up is. Gus Atkinson was the top bowler as he picked up 2 wickets for 20 runs.

Chasing down the score in a mere 13.3 overs, they not only got the win but boosted their net run rate which could become extremely crucial in the latter stages of the competition.
