The Haryana Steelers and the Bengal Warriors have struggled throughout the season even though they had some fantastic players. They have been over-reliant on a few and could not forge teamwork to win games regularly. The Steelers are placed 10th in the points table and do not stand a realistic chance to qualify for the next round.

The Bengal Warriors do not have much of a chance to move ahead considering they are placed with just 8 victories out of the 18 matches that they have played. They will take on the Steelers hoping to beat them and stay in contention.

But the Warriors got conned in their last match by the UP Yodha as their defense broke down completely. An early all-out conceded in the first half never allowed them to recover. On the other hand, the Haryana Steelers upset U Mumba in their last game. They combined good defensive moves with quick raids as they kept U Mumba guessing. The Steelers won the match even though none of their raiders could score a Super 10. Can they deceive the Warriors in this game and escape with the greatest heist of the tournament?

Haryana Steelers Preview

Haryana hasn’t done justice to themselves this season. They have an enthusiastic bunch of players but could not rise to the occasion as a team. They are placed 10th in the points table as they get ready to take on former champions Bengal Warriors.

Unfortunately, the Steelers could not deliver the knock-out punch in most of the games. Raiders Meetu Sharma and Manjeet Dahiya have earned raid points in all the games. Both have collectively looted 185 raid points in 18 games. But the Haryana Steelers have desperately missed the third raider in the season. Coach Manpreet and company could not brew a match-winning recipe in most games. Raiding and tackle efficiency has been the biggest issue for the Haryana Steelers.

But they got their act together in their last game against U Mumba. The Steelers neutralized the Mumba raiders thus putting a cap on their income. Captain Nitin Rawal and Mohit scored a Hi 5 each, as the defense hunted with precision. Their raiders did a good job of earning the necessary points as the Haryana Steelers won the match even though none of their raiders scored a Super 10.

The Steelers have executed 284 successful team raids out of their total 750 team raids.

They have conducted 154 successful team tackles in 18 games.

Haryana Steelers have also executed 13 Super tackles which have saved them from conceding all-outs. But at the same time, they conceded 25 all-outs which gets them in dangerous situations, especially in the second half of the match.

The Haryana Steelers have a sensational record over the Bengal Warriors and have won 6 out of their 7 encounters. They lost to the Warriors once way back in 2019. The Steelers will look forward to spoiling the situation for the Warriors who may just squeeze into the playoff if they can win all their remaining matches.

Bengal Warriors Preview

Former champions have not been at their best this season. They have been heavily dependent on Maninder Singh and Girish Ernak. Throughout the season they could not forge new partnerships which led to them slipping into the points table. After playing 18 matches, the Warriors are not sure whether they can qualify for the playoff. To add to this, they take on the Haryana Steelers whom they have beaten just once in 7 matches. This puts a huge question mark on their future.

Captain Maninder Singh has been devastating in most games earning 208 raid points from 18 games. Left corner Girish Ernak has hunted with pride as he has executed 48 successful tackles in the season.

The lack of intensity and occasional breakdown of their defense has been the major concern for the Bengal Warriors. Raiders Shrikant Jadhav and all-rounder Deepak Niwas Hooda have been in great touch. But defenders like Vaibhav Garje, Shubham Shinde, and all-rounder Balaji haven’t been consistent.

The Warriors have lost 3 out of their last 5 matches. Earlier in the week, the Bengal Warriors upset the Bengaluru Bulls which reignited their fans. Everyone thought that the Warriors were back in command. But they lost to U Mumba in a high-scoring match followed by a 1-point loss to the UP Yodha.

Though the Warriors have a success rate of 42% in their team raids, their success rate in team tackles is just 38%.

They have conceded 632 points in 18 matches while earning 663.

The Warriors have conducted 18 Super raids which is the highest by any team.

The Warriors are in a dicey situation as they need to win all their matches and wait for a miracle. But they need to beat the Haryana Steelers which has not happened many times. The Warriors lost to the Steelers earlier in the season too. Can the former champions motivate themselves and overcome their rustiness to beat the Steelers?

The match between the struggling Steelers and the rusty Warriors will be an entertaining one. Both teams have displayed momentary brilliance but overall they have not been able to dominate.

Bengal Warriors will once again depend on Captain Maninder Singh and defender Girish Ernak. Both will do well to help their team give a fight. Maninder will earn a Super 10 and he will execute a Super raid too. Defenders Ashish Sangwan and Iranian Pahelvani will score in the second half. But the Warriors may concede an all-out early in the match.

The Haryana Steelers will expect Captain Nitin Rawal and defender Mohit to repeat their earlier performance where both had scored a Hi 5. Both may not score another Hi 5, but they will trouble the Bengal raiders. Defender Jaideep Dahiya will shine in this match. The trio of Manjeet, Meetu Sharma, and Rakesh Narwal will score quickly in the first half.

The second half of the match will be a street brawl where both teams will make a lot of unforced errors. The Bengal Warriors may just surprise everybody.

Bengal Warriors will win.
