The Puneri Paltan is comfortably placed at the top of the points table after playing 16 matches. They had a tough time defeating the Bengaluru Bulls in their last match. After taking a huge lead at halftime, they almost settled for a TIE. It was their mercurial raider Aslam Inamdar who won it for them.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers have won their last 3 games in style. They roasted the UP Yodha in their last game to move to the 3rd spot in the points table. The Pink Panthers lost to the Paltan earlier in the season and they will look forward to avenging that defeat and moving into the top 2.

Jaipur Pink Panthers Preview

Former champions have been dynamic and consistent. The major reason for such an effective season has been their team combination. The raiding trio of Arjun Deshwal, Rahul Chaudhary, and Ajith earned well through the season while defenders Ankush and Sunil Kumar were excessively lethal with their tackles. That is the reason why the Pink Panthers are in the 3rd position in the points table. They have won 10 out of their 15 matches and they seem to be one of the top contenders for the title.

Raider Arjun Deshwal has been in sensational form earning 180 raid points from 145 successful raids.

Defender Ankush has executed 51 successful tackles along with 43 by Captain Sunil Kumar. Both have hunted down the best raiders in the business. 

Arjun Deshwal has also conducted 5 Super raids. In addition, he has 21 Do-or-Die raid points. The Pink Panthers seldom rely on empty raids but whenever they are stuck in a DoD situation, Arjun has always rescued them. 

They were cruising nicely mid-season but had a speed breaker in the form of Patna Pirates who beat them by a margin of 7 points earlier in the month. But post this breakdown, Jaipur beat Dabang Delhi, U Mumba, and UP Yodha in their next 3 games.

They have relied on the services of raiders like Bhavani Rajput and Devank once in a while. But Rahul Chaudhary who completed 1000 PKL raid points this season has played sensibly to complement Arjun Deshwal. 

The Jaipur Pink Panthers enjoy a good record over the Paltan. They have won 10 out of their 19 encounters with a couple of games ending in a TIE. But the Pink Panthers were tamed by the Paltan in their first meeting this season. The Paltan completely dried off points by Arjun Deshwal and other raiders, while the Jaipur raiders were also rendered toothless. This resulted in the Panthers losing the game by a margin of 8 points. Just 5 tackle points and an all-out conceded did not help Jaipur’s cause. They will be desperate to return the favor to the Paltan and grab pole-position in the points table.

Puneri Paltan Preview

The Puneri Paltan is on top of the world in season 9. Not only have they occupied the numero uno status in the points table, but they have also dominated almost all the teams on the circuit. In a dress rehearsal for the finals, the Paltan defeated a tenacious Bengaluru Bulls team in a hard-fought match. They have another nemesis to tame as they take on the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The Puneri Paltan has been physically and tactically dominating. Barring a few games, they have not suffered any major breakdown during the match or injury-wise. With a stable raiding attack and a shrewd defense led by Sultan Fazel Attrachali, the Paltan has blossomed to rule the mat this season. 

The Paltan has conducted 269 successful team tackles with a success rate of 41%.

The Puneri Paltan has inflicted 24 all-outs in 16 matches and conceded 16. This gives them the edge over all other teams. 

Raiders Aslam Inamdar and Mohit Goyat have been phenomenal as a pair, raider Akash Shinde has been the unsung hero. Apart from his agile and quick-scoring raids, he has been instrumental in multiple assists with his lethal ankle holds. Mohit Goyat has earned 31 Do-or-Die raid points which help the Paltan exploit their opponents by building pressure with empty raids. But it was Aslam Inamdar who got them out of the soup in their last game against the Bengaluru Bulls.

After leading by 10 points at half-time, the Paltan fell for the bait and the Bulls pulled back in style. The score was leveled at 33-33 with the Paltan left with a DoD raid. Fortunately, Aslam kept his cool and got back with 2 points thus avoiding any embarrassment for the Paltan.

The Puneri Paltan will play another final-like match with a strong opponent. They cannot remain complacent in good positions and create problems for themselves. They conned the Pink Pathers last time and will expect to repeat the same performance.
