Tamil Thalaiva has been punching above its weight for quite a while. They have given tough fights to bigger teams and have clinched unexpected results. Though they are placed 8th in the points table, they look strong to finish in the top 6 with a few more games left.

The Bengal Warriors have done everything expect to deliver the knock-out punch. They have one of the best raiders and the best defender on the circuit but teamwork has been missing. They have lost a few matches due to tactical errors which have forced them to remain in the 6th spot in the points table after playing 14 matches.

They cannot take the Tamil Thalaiva lightly as they forced a TIE with the Warriors in their last encounter this season. This will be one of the most exciting games of the season as the result will see the winner catapult into the top 6.

Tamil Thalaivas Preview

The Tamil Thalaiva has impressed everyone with their never say die attitude. They have risen from the ashes like a phoenix, after all, they went through in the early part of the season. Though they are yet to make a significant impact in order to move into the top 6, they certainly have got heads to roll.

Primarily this has been due to the rise of young raiders like Narender and Himanshu Singh. Narender has earned 149 raid points from 120 successful raids. He scored 16 points against the Patna Pirates in the last game helping his team to share the honors. Raiders Ajikya Pawar and Himanshu Singh have complemented Narender quite well which has helped the Thalaiva to earn handsomely.

Captain Sagar and left corner Sahil Gulia have been working hard throughout the season. Both have been the pillars of their defense. Both have executed 65 successful tackles in 14 matches. The Thalaiva has not been able to push for victories due to the sudden breakdown of their defense. This has not allowed the Thalaiva to win games regularly.

Tamil Thalaiva has executed 141 successful team tackles in 14 matches.

They have also conducted 12 Super tackles which have saved them from eminent all-outs.

But they have also conceded 495 team points which makes recovery almost impossible. The Thalaiva has also conceded 22 all-outs while inflicting just 15. These are the reasons why the Thalaiva gets stuck from winning positions.

They will take on the Bengal Warriors who have hammered them throughout various seasons. Tamil Thalaiva defeated the Warriors just once and that too way back in season 5.

But this time the Thalaiva seems prepared. They forced a TIE in their last encounter with the Warriors. It was an interesting match as raiders Narender and Ajinkya Pawar scored well. Defenders Mohit and Abhishek were in hot and spicy form as they held the Warriors even when Maninder scored 19 raid points.

The Thalaiva just needs to repeat the same this time as the Warriors look more vulnerable. If Tamil Thalaiva can win this game it will not only push them up the points table but they will see a jump in their self-belief.

Bengal Warriors Preview

The Bengal Warriors have hit a rough patch in the middle of the season. They have a regular breakdowns which has kept them in the 6th spot after playing 14 matches. It is quite surprising to see a team struggling even when you have one of the best defenders and one of the best raiders.

Raider Maninder Singh has scored 159 raid points from 122 successful raids.

Defender Girish Ernak has executed 39 successful tackles which have yielded his 3 Hi 5’s.

Yet the Warriors have not been able to leverage their performances. Missing teamwork and lack of intensity have been the primary reasons. Though the Warriors won against the Telegu Titans in their last game, they got thrashed by the Puneri Paltan. Hence the Warriors have not been able to perform consistently which has shackled them.

As a team, they have been able to conduct 242 successful team raids out of their total 570 team raids. Incidentally, the Bengal Warriors have conducted the least number of team raids among all teams. This proves that the Warriors like to slow down the pace of the game which may not work at all times.

They have executed 133 successful team tackles in 14 matches.

The Warriors have been involved in 15 Super raids courtesy of Smiling Assassin Maninder Singh.

They have been able to inflict 22 all-outs while conceding just 15.

But currently, the Bengal Warriors have more to worry about as they need to win all their games to keep their hopes alive for the playoff. They will play the Tamil Thalaiva in a very tricky game.

In their last match against the Thalaiva, the Warriors trailed by 12 points at halftime. This also included 2 all-outs. This kind of below-par performance forces them to spend their energies on covering up the deficit. They did manage to come back in the second half of that match inflicting 2 all-outs on the Thalaiva and settling for a TIE. But now as the season is in its last leg, the Warriors cannot afford to make such mistakes.  If the Bengal Warriors are not able to win this game, the gates for the playoff may close for the season.

The South versus East rivalry will unfold in this match. Bengal Warriors have been successful due to individual performances but they lack teamwork.

Maninder Singh will once again shower his magic on raids earning a Super 10. Left corner Girish Ernak will hunt down the support raiders of the Thalaiva. But the Bengal defense may not collectively hunt down Narender who will trouble them. The Warriors will be slow to take off in the first half and that may backfire.

The Tamil Thalaiva will seize the opportunity and attack from the first raid. Defenders Sagar and Sahil Gulia will try and keep Maninder off the mat. This will help the Thalaiva target an all-out early in the first half. The second half will be highly explosive and the team which makes the least unforced errors will win. Expect a surprise result.

Tamil Thalaiva will win.
