LSG comes into this contest with a win over Mumbai Indians, and they look in good form.  

Lucknow Super Giants won both games against Kolkata Knight Riders last year, adding to their confidence. The visitors have their batting line-up in good form and shall look to capitalize on it. Nitish Rana's side still has a remote chance of making it to the playoffs. They have picked form with three wins in the last four games. The side did well in the last game against the Chennai Super Kings, winning it by 6 wickets. They need a big win here to improve their run rate and have a chance of reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2018.  

They will need a strong opening stand from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy, who missed out in the last game. Venkatesh Iyer must regain his form and do well in the middle order with Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh. Andre Russell needs to use his hitting abilities and add quick runs with Shardul Thakur and Sunil Narine down the order.  

Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana must pick early wickets, as LSG has an explosive batting lineup. Varun Chakaravarthy has been the best bowler this season, and he will need to keep the scoring rate under check with Sunil Narine. Suyash Sharma and Thakur must do well in the supporting role.

Krunal Pandya's side is almost through to the playoffs after their 5-run win against the Mumbai Indians in the last game. Their bowlers pulled off a stunning win after the game seemed lost. However, they can't afford to relax with other teams closing on them in the final round of league games. Pandya would like his side to win this game and not leave their qualification to chance.  

They will need a solid start from Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda in this game, as KKR bowlers can pull off a surprise. Marcus Stoinis and Pandya stitched off a match-winning partnership in the last game and will look to add runs with Prerak Makand. Nicholas Pooran has done well and will need to steer the innings in the lower middle order with Ayush Badoni and Naveen-ul-Haq.  

Krunal Pandya and Mohsin Khan bowled well in the last game, and the team will need similar spells from them with the new ball. Ravi Bishnoi has been the most consistent bowler and he has to keep the scoring rate under check in the middle overs with Naveen-ul-Haq.
