As they take on the table toppers, du Plessis would like to see a determined effort from his players and book a berth in the playoffs.  

Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli have more than 1200 runs this season, and they set up a 172-run stand in the last game. The pair must deliver a strong performance at the top. They will like to see Glenn Maxwell, Michael Bracewell, and Mahipal Lomror do well in the middle order. Anuj Rawat, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Kedar Yadav add firepower to the batting line-up, and they will look to do well.  

The bowling attack is the team's weakness, and they will need a good opening spell from Mohammad Siraj and Wayne Parnell, their best bowlers this season. Pandya would like to use this opportunity to build momentum ahead of the playoffs. He will need a strong show from his bowlers, as the Royal Challengers' top order has been murderous.  

Shubman Gill scored a hundred in the last game and will look to deliver a strong start with his in-form partner Wriddhiman Saha. The middle order has done well, and the side will expect runs from Pandya, Sai Sudarshan, and David Miller. Rahul Tewatia, Dasun Shanaka, and Rashid Khan make it a formidable batting line-up, and they will look to exploit the weakness in the RCB bowling attack.
