The defending champions will take on the Bengal Warriors as they fight for the last spot in the playoff. It has been a sensational journey for both teams this season. The Bengal Warriors are placed 10th in the points table with virtually no chance of making it to the next round. Though they have 2 more games to play, it looks unlikely that they will be able to qualify.

Hence it will be an opportunity for them to play spoilsport by beating Dabang Delhi and pushing them out of the tournament. Bengal Warriors have lost 4 consecutive matches while Dabang Delhi has been able to win just 2 out of their last 5 games. They defeated U Mumba in their last match to live another day in the tournament. This will be the last round-robin match for Dabang Delhi and also the last chance to qualify for the playoff. 

This will be the biggest test for Naveen Kumar and company as the defending champions are on the verge of getting knocked out of season 9.

Bengal Warriors Preview

Bengal Warriors are currently placed 10th in the points table with one more match after this. The only options remaining for the Warriors are to win both their remaining matches and hope to just squeeze past a few teams into the eliminators. But it will take a lot of courage, self-belief and exceptional kabaddi to achieve this. 

The Warriors have lost 4 consecutive matches and look totally fatigued. They do not have much of a chance to make it to the next round, hence they will play for pride as well as to trouble Dabang Delhi. Bengal Warriors lost to the Jaipur Pink Panther in their last match. Even though raider Shrikant Jadhav scored 16 raid points, the Warriors could not win.

The Bengal Warriors were totally dependent on Captain Maninder and defender Girish Erank. While Maninder was in sensational form this season, Girish was clinical in his hunting.

Maninder Singh has earned 220 raid points in 20 matches from 169 successful raids.

Girish Ernak has executed 50 successful tackles this season.

Unfortunately, the Warriors could not display teamwork. They were guilty of regular breakdowns which hampered their winning capabilities. The Warriors could win just 8 out of their 20 encounters while they settled for a TIE in 2 matches. 

Raider Shrikant Jadhav was exceptional in some matches. He has earned 116 raid points in 20 matches. But the Warriors missed a regular third raider. They did not have any contingency plans if Maninder or Shrikant failed. The Warriors did not utilize the services of defender Surender Nada effectively. 

As the season culminates for the Warriors, they will play for pride and for their fans. The Warriors may also field some youngsters and give them some mat time. But there will be an additional incentive for the Warriors as they take on Dabang Delhi. They could push the defending champions out of the tournament by beating them convincingly.

Dabang Delhi K.C. Preview

Dabang Delhi is in a precarious situation as they play their last round-robin match of the season. They need to win the game against the Bengal Warriors to keep their hopes alive for playoffs. Even if they win the match, they will have to wait for the results of other matches. This can be an agonizing wait for the defending champions. 

Earlier in the week, they lost to the Bengaluru Bulls in a high-scoring match. They were forced to settle for a TIE against the Tamil Thalaiva, a match they should have won. Further, they lost to the Puneri Paltan, thus denting their chances of moving ahead in the tournament. Finally, they were able to beat U Mumba in their last match. Fortunately for Dabang Delhi, they are over with tough opponents as they will take on the Bengal Warriors. This will be a must-win game for them. 

Naveen Kumar will have to forge a special partnership with raiders Ashu Malik and Vijay Kumar. They cannot settle for an ordinary performance against the Bengal Warriors.

Dabang Delhi has conducted 401 successful team raids which is the highest among all teams.

They have also executed 206 successful team tackles which are impressive. 

Dabang also has conducted 18 Super tackles and 13 Super raids.

Still, they struggle to win matches. The main reason has been their lack of creativity as well as sudden breakdowns during matches. Though Dabang has been dependent on Naveen Kumar along with Ashu Malik and Manjeet, it is all-rounder Vijay Malik who is the real hero with 67 raid points from just 9 games. He was instrumental in their title-winning effort last season but he was introduced quite late in this season. 

It was the defense that saved the blushes for Dabang Delhi in their last match. None of their raiders could score a Super 10 but defenders Amit Hooda and Sandeep Dhull scored a Hi 5 each. Even defenders Vishal and Dipak were in sensational form. They will look forward to repeating this performance against the Bengal Warriors. Gujarat Fortune Giants and the Harayana Steelers are the other 2 teams who will compete for that single playoff slot with Dabang Delhi.
